About Me

The Basics
I started blogging in 2010 for a business I was working for. It was my first venture into blogging and serious social media. I found that I enjoyed blogging so much that I continued to write for that blog as a volunteer even after I changed jobs. However, priorities change, passions change, life changes, and God intervenes. I felt the Lord was leading me to make some changes in my life in the spring of 2012.

A series of challenging events led me to press into God for comfort and help. Through my study in the Word, I felt the Lord wanted me to journal the things He was teaching me as a memorial much like Jacob's altar in Genesis 35. It serves as a reminder that God is in this place. I have found that I often need to go back and read some of these posts again and again because it's so easy to forget these life lessons. It's my sincere hope that anything I learn can somehow help or comfort someone else.

"He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others.
When they are troubled, we will be able to give them
the same comfort God has given us." ~ 2 Corinthians 1:4

I will be the first to admit that I do not have all the answers. In fact, I often have more questions than answers. But I have experienced enough of life and sat under so many great Bible teachers that I can share some insight which I've gained through study. I encourage you to seek the Scriptures for yourself and ask God to reveal what He wants to teach you.

The Background
I grew up in a Christian home in a family of many believers and even a few preachers. I became a believer in Christ at the age of 11 and have attended evangelical churches my entire life. It's this personal relationship with Christ that has carried me through life--the good times and the bad times. I have seen God demonstrate His faithfulness, loyal love, and provision time after time. God is good even in the midst of a storm. God is amazing! I invite you to give God the opportunity to help you.

The Humor
If you’ve taken the time to read this far, I’ll try to make this bio somewhat interesting and amusing. I was born at a very early age and I’m a self-proclaimed coffee junkie and chocoholic. I practice punnery without a net. (Buddy, can you paradigm?) I live life on the edge…which is usually just a few feet away from my computer. I overthink everything, including this bio. I walk a fine line between being a nerd and the coolest thing since sliced bread. I usually gravitate toward the nerd side and I have friends in spite of myself. But, I am a Medium Deal in my social circles. So, hey there! Thanks for stopping by.
